What this course is about
A beginner-friendly 6-week Lua programming course for ages 10-16, using Roblox Studio as the creative platform to make learning real, fun, and immediately rewarding.
Learning Objective :
By the end of this course, you will be able to
- Set up and navigate Roblox Studio and ZeroBrane Studio as Lua coding environments
- Declare and use variables, strings, numbers, and booleans in Lua
- Write if/else conditional statements to control program decisions
- Use for loops and while loops to automate repeating tasks
- Define and call functions with parameters and return values
- Create and query Lua tables to store lists and key-value data
- Script interactive game objects in Roblox (parts, GUIs, sounds, leaderboards)
- Debug Lua errors using the Roblox Studio output console
- Build and present an original Roblox game or interactive Lua project independently

Target Audience
Designed for young learners aged 1016 who play Roblox and want to understand how games are made, or who want to start coding in a fun and immediately rewarding way. No prior programming experience is needed. Parents can be confident that all sessions are age-appropriate, conducted in a safe online environment, and led by DBS-checked instructors.
What you need
Pre-Requisites
No prior coding experience is required. Learners should have a free Roblox account and a laptop or desktop running Windows or Mac. Roblox Studio is free to download. A basic familiarity with using a computer (typing, saving files, navigating folders) is all that is needed to get started.
