About

Python Young Coders Plus is a structured blended-learning Python programme for children aged 8–12 who already know the basics and are ready to build stronger, more organised programs. Learners join live online classes for tutor-led explanation, code demos and syntax breakdowns. After class, they continue inside EngagePro, where they review notes, complete assignments, practise coding challenges and strengthen skills. This programme helps learners move beyond beginner commands into lists, tuples, sets, dictionaries, string manipulation, functions with parameters, debugging, testing and exception handling. Students learn how to organise information, reuse code, handle simple errors and build more complete Python projects. Projects include a Student Score Tracker, Coding Challenge Pack, Quiz Builder, Text Adventure Game and final Coding Competition Project. What this programme helps learners do: - Use lists, tuples, sets and dictionaries to organise data - Manipulate text using beginner string methods - Write functions with parameters and return values - Use exception handling to respond to simple errors - Break problems into smaller coding steps - Test, debug and improve program behaviour - Complete assignments in EngagePro - Build confidence before Teen Coders Course Details Suitable for: Kids aged 8–12 with beginner Python experience Skill level: L1 — Foundation Plus Course length: 12 hours Session length: 1 hour Delivery: Blended learning with live classes and EngagePro practice Time zone: UK Time Experience needed: variables, conditions, loops and simple functions Learning style: Tutor explanation, live demo, syntax breakdown, notes, assignments and projects Session Style Each session introduces one concept, followed by tutor demo, guided coding, independent build time and an EngagePro assignment.
