Learning Objective

By the end of this course, you will be able to

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • explain the architecture of SAP BTP and the role of its core services including CAP, Integration Suite, and Kyma
  • identify the key BTP service categories and describe when each runtime and service is appropriate
  • apply the CAP framework to define a data model, service layer, and authentication configuration for a cloud application
  • build and deploy a working application to the SAP BTP Cloud Foundry runtime using the BTP cockpit and CLI
  • run integration flows in SAP Integration Suite, trigger them via API, and interpret the monitoring logs
  • debug deployment and service binding errors using BTP cockpit logs and Cloud Foundry CLI output
  • compare Cloud Foundry and Kyma runtimes and explain the trade-offs for a given application architecture
  • create a portfolio BTP application demonstrating CAP, OData exposure, and live BTP service integration

Target learners

Who this course is for

  • SAP developers building cloud extensions and integrations who want hands-on CAP framework and Integration Suite experience on a live BTP tenant deployed, not just described.

  • IT architects designing enterprise solutions that connect SAP with modern cloud services who need to build real systems, not just produce diagrams.

  • Professionals targeting SAP BTP developer or cloud integration specialist roles who need a portfolio of real BTP deployments to differentiate their application.

If you see yourself in one of these, this course is built for you.

Prerequisites

What you need

Prior JavaScript or Node.js experience is required for this course.

  • A free SAP BTP trial account is required and can be created at the SAP website before the first session.
  • Prior SAP ABAP or Fiori experience is helpful but not mandatory.
  • A laptop with a modern browser and stable internet connection is required.
  • Learners should be ready to deploy and configure cloud-native applications on BTP from the first session.

Course Overview

This course takes you from SAP fundamentals to cloud application development on BTPthrough the CAP framework, SAP Integration Suite, and real deployments on a live BTP trial tenant.

You won't just learn platform theory. You'll build, deploy, and integrate applications that reflect how SAP cloud development actually works.

At ITLearnner, we focus on clarity, structure, and confidence. Every session adds a real capability to your SAP cloud skill set.

Curriculum

01

BTP Architecture and Account Setup

Learn SAP BTP architecture global accounts, subaccounts, service entitlements, and the BTP cockpit and apply that knowledge to configure a live BTP trial environment you’ll use as the foundation for every exercise in the course.

02

SAP CAP Data Models with CDS

Learn the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model CDS entity definitions, associations, and projections and apply them to define a real data model for your BTP application using Core Data Services.

03

CAP Services and OData

Learn how to expose CDS data models as OData services in CAP service definitions, custom handlers, and business logic implementation and apply them to add real service behaviour to your data model.

04

SAP Integration Suite and iFlows

Learn SAP Integration Suite iFlow design, adapter configuration, and message mapping and apply them to design and deploy an integration flow that connects SAP with a third-party system.

05

API Management and Events

Learn BTP API management and event-driven architecture API proxies, policies, and SAP Event Mesh and apply them to govern API traffic and publish events between BTP services.

06

BTP Connectivity to S/4HANA

Learn BTP connectivity to SAP S/4HANA destination configuration, Cloud Connector setup, and RFC/API-based integration and apply them to connect your BTP application to a live S/4HANA backend.

07

CAP Deployment and DevOps

Learn CAP deployment to BTP Cloud Foundry MTA deployment descriptors, CI/CD pipelines, and transport management and apply them to deploy your complete CAP application to a production-ready BTP environment.
